Welcome to Barriere's Museum

Welcome to the North Thompson Museum, Barriere, BC.

We are located just 63 km north of Kamloops on the Yellowhead Highway, the museum west off of the Highway at 343 Lilley Road.

The Museum is housed in a former BC Forest Service Ranger Station. The first Forestry Office in 1920 was located in the same property. This area was considered the center of town.

Artifacts and archival material depicting early history from McLure to Little Fort (Mount Olie) and surrounding areas can be found at the museum.

Please stop by and take a look, leave us your family history or just say hello.

Due to emergency fire conditions, the Museum will be closed until further notice. Please call for updates.
